How can I automatically delete my Firefox browsing history?
Q. I know how to manually delete my Firefox browsing history, by clicking on tools and then clearing my browsing date. But how can I make Firefox delete the history automatically, each time I shut down Firefox? I know it can be done, but I can't find the right way to do it. Does anyone else know?

A. Click on 'Tools'. Then 'Options'. Under the 'Privacy' tab, check the box that says 'Always Clear Private Data When I Close Firefox. If you click settings right next to that, it will let you decide what you want to delete each time Firefox is closed.

A. if you have internet explorer, go to tools, internet options, and delete history. orrr. sometimes if you just click in the place where you type in google, click on the spot until the thing pops up with everything you've searched, and then just put the mouse over the one you want to delete, and press delete...that works sometimes. :A

A. The only thing I could say is you might be having a virus, so run antivirus. There are free Avast, Avira or Microsoft Security Essential. You might also have an extension that is doing it. Click on settings icon at top right. Click Tools -- Extensions and see if there is anything unwanted. If nothing works. Uninstall google chrome and install it again.

How can firefox speed up your browsing when your internet service only goes so fast?
Q. I have verizon high speed. Verizon says it is always set at the same speed. So how can having firefox speed up my browsing? I have heard people say it does "speed up their browsing" but if your internet speed is already set not to change based on usage or number of people online at the time how can any browser speed up your net surfing? thank you.
Asked by Misty - Thu Apr 1 21:56:44 2010 - - 1 Answers - Comments

A. Firefox closes tabs and keeps them from running to boost speed. It also automatically closes other programs as well. Its not about the overall speed of your modem, Its about the PC's performance and FireFox helps it out.

Q. My brother is addicted to porn. Everyday he gets on my mothers mac, puts private browsing on and watches porn.

A. There is a way to disable private browsing (see link below) but it is not for the faint hearted. You need to be quite confident in computers to do it. Instead of going that route here is what I suggest instead: 1. In the accounts pane of system preferences change the login password for the Admin account to something else so your brother can't access it. 2. create a new account for your brother and give him the password for it. 3. In the parental controls panel in system preferences click on the account you created for him (listed in a panel on the left side) then choose the tab marked "content" on the right. Click on the radio button marked "try to limit access to adult websites automatically". Note: when you… [cont.]

I would also like to be able to record video and take pictures. What phones do you think are best? Please tell me more than one! :) I know the iphone is good but what else is out there. I use t-mobile but I would change for a good phone.

A. If you have T-mobile already, you should try T-Mobile's G1. I have the G1 and I love it. It has everything you say that you need and much more. The reason that the G1 is better is because it has an open source. The IPhone is closed and only allow the network to approve apps, The G1 is newer and doesn't have as many apps as the IPhone, but many are added every day.

What is the best Netbook for internet browsing and word documents?
Q. I love to write, and I do it best when I can get my ideas out quickly. I want a Netbook for simple internet browsing, good features for lots of writing (a bigger keyboard, for example), good battery life and preferably somewhere around 300 dollars, but I might pay more if it's worth it. Thanks!

A. Most net books have smaller keyboards than laptops, so you probably would be better off getting a laptop. There are good cheap laptops out there for $330 like this one at best buy.

Q. How do I keep my browsing history private? Asked by Stuart K - Thu Dec 24 02:53:04 2009 - - 2 Answers - Comments

A. there is no possible way to remove all traces of your internet activity. Logs are stored on your ISP's servers. Clear your browser history and cache (temporary internet files). You can run a deep clean software to remove traces of deleted files if you are that paranoid. But you CANNOT remove your activity history from your ISP's logs.. Not unless you are a hacking legend, in which case you wouldnt be asking this question anyway

Asked by T.H. - Fri Apr 24 17:27:14 2009 - - 3 Answers - 1 Comments

A. You have to perform a "secure delete" to remove information permanently. This is the only real way to erase information off of magnetic media. This works by encrypting the data and deleting it many times over until its nothing more than unreadable code. Shredding is another technique but not nearly as effective. Also. The US Dept of Defense endorse "secure delete" as the only way to permanently remove data. Check out this link.
