A Golden retriever or the Cream color?
Q. What is a better retriever. The Golden color or the Cream color, And why? Also want to know if they are different in anyway? Planning on adopting a Retriever soon. I think they are both really pretty.

A. It really depends on you. But since I hate it when people answer like that, I would say cream. Golden ones just seem to common.

What colors can you mix to obtain a golden color?
Q. Is that even possible? are there any specific colors to mix to obtain a gold like color? I have alot of ink bottles with alot of colors...red,blue,green,yellow,purple... Can I mix some to obtain a gold-like ink?
Asked by Angel - Fri Sep 26 07:52:47 2008 - Other - Visual Arts - 3 Answers - Comments
A. You will never be able to obtain a real metallic shine by mixing inks. It is the glistening surface that gives gold that sheen. But, as far as the color, "gold" is, essentially, a warm yellow. You can get it by adding very tiny tints of red, or red/orange to a pure yellow. This will tend to darken the yellow (which can be a good thing). The rest of the "gold" effect would have to be done by adding streaks of highlights and reflected shadows to the object you want to make look like gold.

Hair dying question? Can I mix a golden color with an ash color?
Q. My hair is black, and I want it to be a medium golden brown. If I just use the golden grown color alone, my hair will have too much of a red undertone. So can I mix it with an ash color to neutralize the red in my hair? I read somewhere that mixing a gold color with an ash color will make your hair look green.
Asked by booradley - Thu Apr 9 01:47:22 2009 - Hair - 4 Answers - Comments
A. Yep, you'll probably end up with green.Think about it: Golden = Yellow + Ash = Blue/Green. In a salon, you can l mix an ash with a golden and get a neutral color however you have to know how much of each and that depends on a lot of different factors. It's not as simple as just mixing golden brown and ash brown together in a bowl and calling it a day.

Can you use a golden blonde hair color on dirty blonde hair?
Q. My hair is usally blonde, but i havnt colored it in a while so its dirty blonde, i want a really pretty blonde but not like a platnum blonde. I got the loreal Superior Preference, the shade it 9G light golden blonde, would that be a pretty color, and would it turn my hair orange because my hair is light brown/dirty blonde.
Asked by - Sun Oct 10 10:38:54 2010 - Hair - 1 Answers - Comments
A. you can use ANY color on your hair, you just need to look at the box to see what the result will be. on the side of the box, it shows what your turnout will be based on the shade you're coloring over. loreal is a good brand and the result guide is pretty accurate. errors usually occur from something else, like leaving jewelry on, which reacts with the chemicals and does weird things.

What colors go with an ivory or light golden color?
Q. I'm getting married next fall and my dress is an ivory or very light golden color. I was thinking maybe a burgandy red would go pretty well with it but my fiance doesn't really like the idea. So what other colors would be good for the wedding and wont clash with the dress?
Asked by - Tue Sep 13 23:46:02 2011 - Other - Beauty & Style - 2 Answers - Comments
A. Since you are doing a fall wedding, what about a subdued orange? This would really pop with an ivory/gold color dress. Are you sure it is gold or a dark creme? If you were choosing flowers, you could do white lilies or peach and white roses. Those would be beautiful with dark greenery.

Dark red hair for light golden skin color?
Q. I'm an Asian with a light golden skin tone, and I'm considering dying my hair red for the summer. I don't want super bright red hair like Rihanna or anything; something darker would be more appropriate, I think. What shade of red would you recommend? My original hair color is a really dark brown that's considered black. Thanks in advance! Oh, and this is my *first* time dying my hair completely. I've gotten highlights before several years ago, but I want to know if dying my hair would make it unhealthy or dry.
Asked by SkyLark - Sun Jun 12 14:56:23 2011 - Hair - 5 Answers - Comments
A. I think you would suit a dark brown sort of color that has red in it, so when the light catches it, it will appear red. Or you could go a stage further than that and go completely red, but a dark deep color, i think it would suit your features nicely :)

I have natural strawberry blonde hair that looks golden. Would blonde highlights go good with my hair color?
Q. I've never dyed my hair before. I was wondering if blonde highlights would look good with my hair color(strawberry blonde that looks golden) and what color highlights I should get? Also, would it look weird when the highlights grow out and would I have to keep dying it? Since my hair is already kind of blonde I'm not sure. I've always been hesitant to dye my hair but I'm sick of the same old color. Thanks!

How soon can I dye my after using feria hair color medium golden brown if the color did not take?
Q. I am an african american woman and I have dark brown hair. I used Feria medium golden brown dye on my hair and did not achieve the results I wanted ( a reddish brown hue like on the box) How soon can I try dying it again and should I use a lighter color?
Asked by Micheal B - Sun Jun 10 09:53:27 2007 - Hair - 2 Answers - Comments
A. You risk really drying your hair out and causing damage. If you have your hair straightened than you should not color it again. However, if no relaxer than take a strand of hair and hold it between your thumb and forefinger and thumb and pull, if it breaks easily than don't re-color. If it stretches to at least twice its lenght than consider lightening. However, you will need a lighter color. Because your hair is naturally so dark, it will be difficult to get a red very vibrant without really lightening it. Good luck:)

Will Clairol Shimmer Lights shampoo get this golden color out of my hair?
Q. I recently dyed my hair a golden light blond and I don't like it much. I want to get the golden/orange color out as much as I can before the next time I dye it. I would bleach my hair, but I don't want to dry it out so am deciding to use this first. Will it get it out? How long will it take? And how often should I use it? I've already used it once and didn't change all that much..

A. Coming from someone who dyes their hair all the time, if you are trying to get your hair to a light blonde color and it turned out a little orange, that happens to everyone. if you dye it again it will look better if not the color you wanted. But if it still looks a little orange, if you wait a few weeks when your roots start growing out and dye it again, it will defiantly be the right color. Every time i go from black or brown or a dark color to blonde, my hair always looks orange and I just dye it again and after my roots grow out again and its the right color. Dying your hair dosent damage it at all, bleaching it dose dry it out but you can use a re-hydrating conditioner and once a week or 2 you can slather your hair in conditioner,… [cont.]

A. As for which color...I think it really depends on your skin as to which one would look better. If you have pale/light skin, platinum would look better. If you have medium/olive/or dark skin, golden blond would look very nice. Washing golden hair won't make it platinum colored, sorry. : ( The only thing it will do is help fade your golden color a bit. If your current color is a redish color, it will turn your golden color into a golden/redish hue. Otherwise, it'll just fade it. Another point to think about...unless your hair is already close to what platinum blonde looks like, in a month or two your roots will show..and will keep showing more and more. That color is hard to maintain because you have to keep going back and get your roots… [cont.]
