Ive received 150MB ofdownloaded pictures from l.yimg.com or variants thereof in 2 days. How do I stop it!!?
Q. These pictures are unrequested, unwanted and consume downlad capacity. Please advise how I can stop, block or cease having these unsolicited pictures consuming my broadband capacity. I have today switched back to Yahoo mail classic in an attempt to stop them but surely there is a neater solution.

flash ads served by l.yimg.com freeze my firefox 3.x browser for up to 7 minutes before the rest of the page?
Q. This has made firefox 3.x unusable. All sites with flash ads take minutes to load and freeze firefox. Same pages work fine in IE 7 or IE 8, and also in Safari and Avant... latest versions. I've updated to latest versions of Flash plugins and so on from Adobe. Now using vsn. 10 r22. Is there anyway I can get my Windows Vista system to run Firefox 3.x or do I have to forget it forever? Thanks.

A. Just click on the X to get rid of it. It is associated with Yahoo advertising. Sometimes you can find it as a cookie on your hard drive. Yahoo will fix it.

A. l.yimg.com is associated with Yahoo's image library. They use it in everything they do. It is perfectly safe, should not get displayed though all the time - looks like yet another scripting error. And yes, what you got displayed is a cookie associated with the ads Yahoo is placing on their site. Last time something similar happened was months ago when Yahoo had technical problems and accidentally placed a script in the box on the YA pages instead of the flash ads normally displayed. That's when I found out that adyield-manager and bluelithium is used to place personalized ads - both use cookies to track your browsing habits, so you may get a different ad displayed than somebody sitting right next to you. I can't access my emails and get the message "waiting for l.yimg.com"?
Q. Hi, I haven't been able to access my emails today. I get the message "waiting for l.yimg.com" when using Firefox and "done" when using Internet Explorer but all I see is a blank screen. I disabled the wisestamp signatures installed yesterday, I changed my Yahoo password, cleared my history, installed Firefox new version, Flash player new version, restarted my computer but it didn't help. I am using a dongle for my Internet access and Kaspersky anti-virus. A. You need to check your popup blocker and make sure that it's on. It should be blocking everything, giving you the choice of whether or not you want to look at it. That's one of the ones I keep on knocking back.

what is the deal with l.yimg.com? I think it is a yahoo site. It is slowing everything down.?
Q. l.yimg.com is so slow, it is slow down many yahoo sites. If they can't fix this problem, I may have to stop going to yahoo. Now I know why they are slipping. They have to much crap on their sites. That could take up minutes to load. If they are smart they should clean up their sites.

Anyone else having trouble with l.yimg.com?

What does a pop up notice, [object window], (yellow triangle with !) from mean?
Q. A message box with a yellow triangle with an !, [object window], has started to pop up in my Y-mail site. It came with my step-mom's daily e-mails, forwarded messages and images to me before I opened any of them. What is it telling me and do I press OK or just X it out? It tells me nothing either way. My mail comes in quite fine as with most images. My computer functions as normal. I checked the and it was some sort of Yahoo/Robotec, possible Flicker thing amongst many entries. How do you measure the size of a subwoofer?
